You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.

- Ansel Adams

Seeing, really seeing, is looking at the same thing as others, but capturing in your mind’s eye something entirely different. Every photographer has the potential to have a unique vision and to see the world in a different way. I agreed with Ansel Adams; our experiences create our own unique vision. I have seen this personally while teaching thousands of students in hundreds of workshops. Every single student, in every workshop, inevitably creates an image that is unlike any other student’s image, proving to me that we all have a unique vision.

- Les Saucier

Les Saucier’s “Art of Seeing” workshops are designed to help you access, and expand, your unique creative vision. The workshops are designed to help you become a better photographer.

In the classroom, you’ll learn how all images are built from graphic design elements and how to use those elements to catch and hold the viewer’s interest. You’ll also learn to how to maximize your image with creative post-processing.

In the field, you’ll learn to use your camera’s controls and lenses to emphasize your subject, your vision, to the viewer. Plus, you will learn “Pro Tips” on how to use your gear effortlessly in the field.

The highlights of every “Art of Seeing” workshop are the critiques of students’ work. Students learn more about their unique vision and creative processing during the two critiques included in each workshop than in any other part of the workshop. Critiques are so important that Les never teaches any of his workshops without student photo critiques.

“Art of Seeing” workshops are designed for beginning and experienced photographers who shoot DSLRs or mirrorless cameras. Whether you’ve been shooting for years or only a short time, Les Saucier’s workshops will give you the opportunity to become a better photographer, to enjoy your time shooting more than ever, and to create better images in post processing.
Tuition includes free sensor cleaning. It does not includes travel, lodging or food.
